Candidate profile
Senior Backend and Blockchain Engineer
Description
A senior generalist engineer with founding-style ownership, capable of building systems end-to-end, including protocol and product code, backend platforms, infrastructure, internal tools, and product-facing surfaces. Has experience as an initial or early hire in small and large-scale projects. Possesses six years of experience building backend platforms for massive-scale products at Strikerz/UFL and Vizor Games, where they were an early hire, working directly with the CTO to build infrastructure and design systems from the ground up. Engineered microservices, public and internal APIs, and data pipelines for analytics (Kafka, Postgres, ClickHouse). Managed Kubernetes, observability, internal tooling in Python and JS, and participated in high-stakes production launches. For the last two years, served as a founding engineer at Decent Land Labs, an early-stage decentralized storage protocol with EVM support and permanent Arweave-based data settlement. Worked across the stack, developing protocol-level abstractions, nodes, bootstrapping infrastructure, DevOps, and smart contracts. Also built private AI agent harnesses, ran multi-agent tests, and utilized LLMs for spec review and cross-client protocol design research and data gathering. Built an engineering foundation in enterprise Business Intelligence and Data Architecture, shipping large-scale data warehouses (OLAP) for global companies (pharma, logistics), writing heavily optimized Oracle PL/SQL and T-SQL. Has open-source contributions to the Ethereum ecosystem, including the Reth client in Rust, Flashbots SUAVE, and Alloy. Currently focusing on applied AI and LLM design, RL and model fine-tuning, inference, and AI compute. Seeks founding engineer, senior/staff software engineer, full-stack or backend roles where broad ownership and technical depth are valued.
