Web Developer and Mentor

Hello HN, I'm James. I get the most joy out of helping other people accomplish their goals or doing more with their time. I've found I do this best when I'm part of a small team, with diverse skills and ideas. (I like working with designers and editors.) My first love was with developing for the web (and what I'd love to have as a primary focus again), but sometimes you just need a console application, or to spend some time researching existing tools. I believe that the more you understand the tools and environments you're using, the more capable you are of solving problems now and in the future. I believe in open communication, mentoring, the right amount of documentation, and enhancements over time.
