Principal AI & Platform Engineer

A seasoned (>15 years experience) full-stack staff-level software engineer specializing in backend, systems architecture, AI, platform engineering, internal tools, prototyping, and data engineering. Possesses strong programming and architectural skills, acting as a force multiplier through teaching, talking, and tooling. Holds a US patent in the AI space. Experience includes teaching Python, leading high-impact engineering teams (up to 12), and pioneering no- and low-code solutions for stream processing, data model/query generation, form building, workflow systems, and front-end construction across industries like healthcare and fintech, with systems handling >10% of Medicare applications. Recently built a no-code automated form-filler, a no-code web scraper with AI generation, and a workflow engine for coordinating LLMs and generative AI, including a patented platform for minimizing hallucinations and handling large documents. Applied these tools to analysis and integrity checks across textual and video/audio data. Also an improvisational pianist and published poet, having created novel algorithms for music and poetry. Extensive experience with startups, consulting, and mid-sized companies, enabling strong communication, requirement gathering, stakeholder alignment, and ownership of significant internal and customer-facing areas.
