Senior Systems & Performance Engineer

Mitul Dhawan is a Senior Software Engineer with a strong focus on systems-level Rust, performance engineering, and building robust infrastructure. At Eden, they co-authored FastTelemetry, an open-source Rust metrics library that significantly improved performance (2 ns vs 40-400 ns) and replaced OpenTelemetry. They also developed a Rust logging library (3x faster than env_logger), built Datadog dashboards, and worked on a 100MB/s Redis-backed migration pipeline. Prior to Eden, at Bitwyre, Mitul built HFT and market-making systems using C++/Python, Kafka, WebSockets, and KDB+. They also designed core primitives for a layer-1 blockchain achieving 50,000+ TPS with a CUDA-accelerated VM, DAG mempool, and Tower BFT consensus. Mitul co-founded ZeroBlock, optimizing a critical backend endpoint from 500ms to 7ms. They are proficient in Rust, C++, C#, TypeScript, Python, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, KDB+, ScyllaDB, Docker, and Linux, and are comfortable with full-stack TypeScript (React/Next/Express). Mitul is experienced in mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with senior teams.
