Software Developer with expertise in AI

Software developer with business degree and expertise in AI, mathematics and algorithms. Former software design engineer in the Microsoft Excel group, where I developed PivotTables. Primary background in .NET (C#) and UNIX (C++) with eclectic interests in frameworks, languages and platforms. Proficient in systems programming, desktop and mobile application development, and web development (UI and API). Independently developed multiple large applications—over 100K lines of code each. Ranked in 99.9th percentile in competitive programming at HackerRank and CodeChef. Filed patents and presented four times at Microsoft technical conferences. My prior startup SoftPerson focused on desktop software enabled with AI technologies and I would like to reenter that space after spending several years in backend software. The first product was a natural language wordprocessor, which performed sentence prediction and rewriting and was ahead of its time by 20 years. The business plan was a finalist at the University of Oregon New Venture Championship (2002) and receive some prize money. Natural language was very challenging, so I pivoted code analysis tools that could static analysis, automated documentation, and code conversion. I also wrote a blog post in 2012 on text-to-image synthesis. All the products were based on an AI reasoning system that exhibited emergent capabilities.
