Staff Software Engineer with Leadership Aspirations

Staff software engineer with ~15 YOE. Started in PHP/Symfony2, Python/Django, and JS/Node (Typescript came later). Moved to Ruby/Rails & Elixir/Phoenix for the past decade. I love designing software, resolving long-term technical debt, and learning new languages (both computer and human languages, I've previously used English, Japanese, and Korean professionally). Always happy to learn new technologies and challenge myself. Hoping to continue to grow into more leadership positions, but I prefer roles with a mix of learning and mentorship. I've generally been moved between teams to help teach junior engineers and solve sticky problems that others have struggled with. I'm also comfortable wearing many hats including Product Management, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering Management, Customer Success, QA, Sales, and more.
