Senior Elixir Backend/AI Engineer

Caleb Beers is a Backend/distributed systems engineer with over 5 years of production Elixir experience on the BEAM. They recently built CAKE, an AI-powered document search and Q&A tool utilizing Phoenix/LiveView, RAG pipeline, and vector search, which addressed a significant customer pain point. Their prior experience includes developing security operations backends, compensation/time-tracking systems, and delivering full-stack solutions from design to deployment. Caleb also works with Clojure, contributing to open-source web scraping tooling, and holds an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification. They are currently building RAG and LLM tooling. Caleb is seeking full-time or contract work, remote or on-site, with a particular interest in teams that leverage the BEAM ecosystem extensively.
