Experienced Engineering Leader and CTO

15+ years hands-on engineering experience and CTO / Head of Engineering leadership experience. Highly empathetic individual, concerned with UX and DX alike. At this stage of my career I'm more interested in interesting problems rather than role / title. Big on social impact w/ my most recent roles being in EdTech. Am interested in technically challenging work too, but I do a bit of reverse engineering and open source development in my free time, so slight preference towards providing social value. Github gives a good idea of my breadth with projects I built ranging from reverse engineered firmware flashing software for Samsung phones to IDEs that bolt static type checking onto Lua. There's more typical stuff like React libraries, tooling and contributions to React, auth libraries (Supabase) etc. If there's a bug blocking my team anywhere in our stack, I'll contribute a fix myself. Plenty of experience building engineering teams/departments, hiring, defining and implementing process and setting up green field projects (CI/CD, tooling etc.)
