Senior Backend and Infrastructure Engineer

Senior backend and infrastructure engineer available for part-time contract work (8-16 hours/week) alongside an existing engagement. This engineer owns the full backend and infrastructure layer for a EU company, working with Python APIs (Flask/FastAPI), PostgreSQL, Redis, and AWS infrastructure managed with Terraform, along with CI/CD pipelines. They have experience with cloud migrations between AWS, Azure, and DigitalOcean and taking ownership of legacy systems. They are looking for 1–2 additional clients for reliable, senior-level backend or infrastructure contract work, operating through their own registered EU company for clean invoicing. They are happy to be the person your team pings when something is broken and nobody knows why.
