Skilled Neural Network Research Engineer
Login to Send EmailDescription
Hi there. I’m a skilled neural network research engineer with ~5 years of focused experience across a number of neural network modalities and solved hard NN projects under my belt. My biggest strengths include combining or developing novel techniques for extremely difficult or unsolved problems that may need a creative solution. I have enough experience in different modalities across the DL field at this point that I’m able to pivot to most new projects relatively easily.
I’m wired in a way where I work best by sticking on 1-2 projects with long time horizons (3-18 months). Getting to know and optimize the unique, intimate particulars of a problem is something that brings me a lot of joy. On the flip side, it is equally as difficult for me to perform well in a high-task thrash environment, like a traditional scaled software development environment (sorry!). That said, when I’ve been in environments that match my strengths, I believe that I’ve been able to bring solutions that other people haven’t been able to. I also have a lot of valuable battle-tested experience that comes from building and debugging a lot of neural networks, something not easily googlable.
So, for my hard pitch -- if you have any projects that fit the above then you might find me an exceptionally good fit for the position. I should be able to work on almost any modality (protein structure prediction, instant nerf, long-term language model coherence, etc). If you’re interested, please feel free to curl my resume from above for more info (it’s terminal-focused, basic screening on my end). And, hey, even if you’re not interested, feel free to say hi anyways! :)
Somewhat related, I’m happy to answer any reasonable technical neural network questions in the comments of this post. Feel free to leave a question if you have any, I’ll be checking back at this post occasionally to answer whatever I can.
Many thanks, and feel free to let me know if you have any questions! :)
