Senior Python AWS Backend Engineer

Senior SWE with 8+ years across Amazon, JPMorgan Chase, and PayPal/Venmo. Builds data pipelines, distributed systems, and backend infrastructure — mostly Python and AWS. Gravitates toward work with real-world stakes: warehouse safety systems, trade settlement pipelines, payments infrastructure. Currently building tooling to query New Jersey transit data with LLMs. Looking for mid/senior backend or data engineering roles at companies where the engineering touches something real - preferably Fintech, logistics or urban spaces.
