NLP Engineer Seeking Engineering Group

I'm more interested in working with a first-rate engineering group and hitting the two year mark with an employer than continuing to work on NLP specifically, especially now that the field no longer works on language and has become a subfield of information retrieval, re-hashing variations on ``semantic'' search while ML has pretty much become signal processing and optimization. Probably nothing too wild will happen until the research community admits that the vector space representation isn't going to cut it and that they've mostly been using the wrong maths! I'd love to find the group I could spend the next five years with. Five years! That being said, you'll still probably want me to work on your core language tech. I'm always interested in foundational work in computational linguistics (my focus since 2010) and am happy to share more about that but the odds of you hiring me to do this are even slimmer than hiring me to do something that isn't NL... semantic search for information retrieval.
