Jon is a PhD-trained engineer/manager with a background in astronomy, emphasizing data-driven solutions. He is currently a Senior Data Science Manager at Hyundai Motor America's North American Safety Office, where he focuses on building large-scale vehicle telemetry pipelines, developing LLM-driven classification and RAG systems for enterprise data, and leading department-wide LLM/AI adoption. Previously, he managed a data science team at HeadSpin, where he built data science pipelines, replaced inefficient workflows with APIs and dashboards, and optimized a flagship data product to reduce costs and latency.
