Senior AI/ML Full-Stack Engineer

A senior full-stack engineer with 8+ years of experience, primarily focused on Python backend development. Possesses an academic background in AI and deep experience building AI-powered products, including work prior to the recent LLM wave. Ex-founder of a medical software company, where they led the development team, and a previous first employee at a YC-backed startup, helping take the company from idea to a multi-product suite and generating $100k+ in pre-launch revenue. Capable of leading projects and small teams, comfortable as an individual contributor, bridging product, engineering, and domain expertise, building and shipping products end-to-end, and designing and integrating AI features into real-world applications. Looking for remote, individual contributor or hybrid roles with product and technical ownership, ideally a 4-day workweek. Open to project-based freelancing and prefers fully async environments.
