Quant & Data Platform Engineer

Holds an MSc in Maths from NUS and a BEng in Aerospace from NTU, with a strong background in quant finance and data platforms. Recently completed a Rates Quant Research Intern role at RBC, receiving a return offer. Achieved 1st place solo at the DeepMind × Cactus Compute Hackathon and 2nd place solo at the Google Gemini 3 Hackathon (https://github.com/sk-ruban/contour). Previously owned Kpler's coal/iron ore/metals data platform for 50+ clients, driving expansion into new regions, scoping ML models with data science, and building ETL pipelines and validation tooling.
