Systems Programming Student

I'm a student of computer science and mathematics with one year of experience writing software in a professional setting, currently looking for internships or a part-time position. I've been passionate about programming and theory for over ten years, reading open source code and regularly writing programs / libraries for personal and academic use - Which I hope would translate to needing little to no hand-holding in your team. Should you think it useful, I have accumulated quite a bit of experience with administering Unix systems as well. Looking for any position where I get to solve difficult problems - I tend to enjoy those.
