Founding Engineer & Fractional CTO

Michael is a highly experienced software developer with over 25 years in the field, including 15+ years in startups and a decade in non-profits. He primarily works as a startup contractor but is open to a Full-Time Founding Engineer position with early-stage startups or a Fractional CTO role. He is flexible on salary but requires a salary component. His preferred stack includes Golang, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQLite, but he has extensive experience with Node.js, React, TypeScript, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, PHP, Perl, Apache, and Oracle. As a 'one-man army' contractor, he possesses a working understanding of UX/UI design, sysadmin, and data science, enabling him to fill various technical gaps. He is currently learning about diffusion models and is eager to work in that domain. He is based in New York City, open to remote work (with a preference for Chicago, LA, or SF), and willing to travel frequently but not relocate.
