Senior Data Scientist

Hi, I'm Kevin. I've had experience over 11+ years as a software engineer, data engineer, and data scientist that give me a unique perspective across the stack and makes me a self-sufficient and motivated contributor. With a natural curiosity and passion for learning and analysis, I strive to gain a deep understanding of the challenges at hand. I pride myself on my ability to work across a diverse set of disciplines ranging from NLP to ETL to predictive analytics to graph theory. My extensive experience in data analysis and machine learning give me the skills and expertise necessary to excel in most DS roles (though I'm open to and have experience data engineering as well). I've applied a wide range of algorithms, from simple linear regression to complex neural networks to extract meaningful insights from data. I tailor the complexity of these algorithms to meet the specific needs and objectives of the business, ensuring optimal results and actionable recommendations. I'm especially excited about embeddings, unsupervised and self-supervised learning, clustering, and relevance algorithms. Most recently at Microsoft, I identified and addressed a critical need to provide segmentation for millions of businesses that use Microsoft's Office/Cloud suite. By creating playbooks based on businesses' behaviors, we were able to engage tens of thousands of companies simultaneously. This improved field representatives' effectiveness by enabling them to anticipate behaviors and avoid incompatible clients. As the sole Data Scientist leading this project, I conducted extensive research, designed suitable segmentation algorithms, and collaborated closely with various teams across the organization. In addition to my technical expertise, I excel in communicating complex data analysis to diverse audiences in a clear and concise manner.
