ML Research/Engineer/Research Engineer

I've been a PhD student in Machine Learning for the past 3.5 years, but due to personal circumstances am having to leave the programme, so am looking for alternative opportunities that I can go on to. Ideally I'd like to make the most of my ML experience, so would prefer an ML Research/Engineer/Research Engineer role, but am open to other software dev roles. I have a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Computer Science, and 3 years work experience in software development, doing a mix of fullstack JS and Ruby on Rails.
