Senior Distributed Systems Backend Engineer

Lucas Frederico is a Senior backend/platform engineer with 10 years of experience on the JVM. For the past 5 years, he served as the sole backend architect for a US-based real-time JVM platform, managing high concurrency, low-latency operations, and maintaining strict production SLOs. His expertise includes distributed systems, real-time/low-latency applications, JVM tuning, and declarative infrastructure. He has extensive experience with Spring Boot for Fortune-500 clients and has developed several open-source projects, including a self-hostable real-time fan-out gateway (fanloop) demonstrating end-to-end deployment on Kubernetes with AWS, Terraform, and ArgoCD.
