Product and Program Manager

Hi everyone, I’m Vinny. I have years of experience working at financial institutions in various regulatory/risk management departments: compliance, AML, disaster recovery, and so on. I’ve acted as the liaison to banking regulators and security organizations such as the SEC, CFPB, FINRA, DHS, Canadian OSFI where I interpreted and pulled together their requests. Simultaneously, I’ve done program and product management: coordinating between various parts of the bank to pull together information, feeding back responses, managing concerns from vendors/clients, internally evangelizing the use of centralized services and supporting the move to a cloud-hosted strategy for our analytics. At my last employer, I assisted in moving a large amount of data analysis work to AWS, and supported data governance efforts (adhering to Privacy and Cybersecurity regulations) to secure bank data. I spend my free time thinking about Google GCP and Amazon AWS: I was formerly a marketing consultant specializing in Google AdWords, and I started my blog at https://www.learngoogle.com where I write about my thoughts on Google, Ads, and the Google Cloud Platform. Posts vary from interesting and funny things I see on Google, screenshots from my personal Google Cloud Platform applications, and serious thoughts about enterprise uses of GCP. As you can probably guess from my email address, I’m working on my OMSCS masters degree online from Georgia Tech. I would love to apply my product/program management skills to any job you may have - doesn’t matter the industry or sector. I can travel wherever you need me to; I have TSA PreCheck, Global Entry, and CLEAR as well as my fair share of navigating unfamiliar airports.
