Computational Biologist (Machine Learning)

Yashas R is an aspiring computational biologist at UC Irvine focused on using machine learning and AI to drive innovation in precision medicine. Their work includes developing predictive models for brain tumor detection from MRI data and applying data science techniques to biomedical datasets. They are deeply interested in bioinformatics, genomics, and medical imaging systems, and aim to contribute to next-generation biotech and health tech solutions. They combine technical rigor in Python and algorithm development with a strong interest in translating biological data into meaningful clinical impact. Yashas is actively seeking internships and research roles in biotech, biomedical AI, and computational biology, and is willing to relocate for the summer.
